The episode Man With a Plan, showcased the true facet of Don Draper. He is the perfect model of antihero that most of the quality dramas that have so far been played. In fact he surpasses all the earlier stereotypes with his stellar bad qualities.

Though he had not treated women well, it is common knowledge that his horrid growing up stage was the main reason. But the manner in which he treated Sylvia was certainly a very disturbing one.
Though the scene started as a kind of foreplay, as it continued on, he seemed to treat her like she was his slave and it was disgusting to watch the scene unfold. Sylvia had put on the fabulous dress and was ready to spend the night out. But Don asked her to forget about going out and get into bed. Sylvia was certainly very much disappointed.
When Sylvia finally realized the mean way she was being treated, she issued an ultimatum but Don was not the type to be easily put off. He seemed to be totally insensitive her feelings and to any human feelings and emotions generally and was immune to the play of emotions around him.
Bob Benson was definitely a mysterious character amidst the happenings that were going on, He seemed to be there always for Joan and looked like a really good guy at heart.
Though he could have behaved like that just to keep his job, but if his acting in this way had saved Joan and also made her feel good by his act of caring for her son and checking on her, it certainly seems to be a good thing.
But his deeds had truly served to save his job, as Joan stood up for him during the meeting for downsizing the staff. But whether this was his sole reason for acting that way towards Joan is still not known. He may truly be a caring and good character after all.
Don’s professional life too was not looking great. He skips work just to remind Sylvia how pitiful she is. Ted confronts him about being late for work by 40 minutes. Both have a fight and Don hammers Ted and passes out before the day ends.
Peggy is concerned about Ted as he was not that stable with his drink like Don and asks Don to move forward which was the best thing she did as far as Don was concerned.
If Don truly adhered to her advice and moved on, he may well take an effort at making things work for him and Megan. And he would also fare better if he thought of Ted as a friend.
